Seabeck for Breakfast!

Last weekend we went to Seabeck for breakfast at Barbies! I love the drive to Seabeck, even more I love eating while overlooking the Hood Canal. On this particular morning there was a heavy fog!  I still had an opportunity to take a few pictures...

The sun kept trying to come out!

As you can see the fog was heavy over the water!
Pictured here is the new pier being built next to Barbies.

Caught a few webs on the old part of the pier.
The background is the water!

Happy Haunting!

Halloween Viva Las Vegastamps! Style

Last night I went to a "No FRILLS Crop Night" at The Scrapbook Zone.  While there I made some Halloween cards. As promised in my Halloween Party decoration post for Viva Las Vegastamps! here are the first of the cards using the labels from my Halloween jars pictured HERE!

Card made using the Dog Witch on Broom from VLVS and Reminisce pattern paper from my stash! If you look closely you will see the glitter on the broom. Used Crystal Lacquer on the dog and broom bristles.
Skull and Crossbones from VLVS with the new Fancy Pants Halloween pattern papers! Used Crystal Lacquer on the Skull! A touch of red added using three i-roc gems.
Skeleton in Long Coat from VLVS using the new Fancy Pant Halloween pattern paper. Used Ultimate High Gloss Embossing Powder on the skeleton. Embellished with a Bo-bunny clock brad.
Wicked Witch with Broom (small) from VLVS using the new Fancy Pants pattern papers. Used Ultimate High Gloss Embossing Powder on witch.  Added a bit of rick-rack.
Here are the last of my stamps images from VLVS drying with  Crystal Lacquer.  Frog, Ghost and Cat and Bat Jack o Lantern. Crown was embossed using the Ultimate High Gloss Embossing Powder.

All images were stamped using Memories black ink by Stewart Superior and adhered using VLVS MIRACLE TAPE!!!

Use Viva Las Vegastamps! to Decorate for Halloween

Having a Halloween party this year?
Want to bump it up a notch?
Use stamps from Viva Las Vegastamps!
to create a witches work haven that could make your skin tingle!
Set the tone with candles.  Pick up inexpensive candles at the dollar store.  Decorate with Robins Nest Halloween papers, Halloween Glitter Stripe and Glitter Ghost Camo (reverse side), wrap the candles using VLVS Miracle Tape and tie with twine.
Gather bottles and jars.  Sources are yard sales, flea markets, thrift stores and your very own kitchen.  The collection in this post is from all the above.  Remove all labels.
A couple of the jar lids had writing on them.  For this project I covered them with twine that had been dipped in glue and wrapped around the lid.  Set aside to dry.  Being impatient, in the oven they went at 150 degrees (for about 1/2 hour) watching them closely as not to burn them.
Go through your Viva Las Vegastamps! and find some that would make great labels for witches potions, tonics or poison.  Not all are typical Halloween stamps, the possibilities are only limited by the imagination. In a word processing program plan layouts and wording for the labels.  All images here were stamped using Memories™ Black Dye Inkpad on ivory card stock.
