Festive Friday!

Here are my cards for Terri Sprouls Festive Friday Blog Hop!  Yes, a day late.  With the Thanksgiving festivities and working on Friday.  Left little time to get something created.
Santa & Holly images from Altered Arts Miscellaneous Christmas collage sheet. The sheet music is from Tim Holtz Seasonal pattern paper pad.  Santa and the Holly were fuzzy cut and covered with Sakura 3D Crystal Lacquer. Plus a little Stikles was added to them.

The Nutcracker card was made with Graphic 45 Nutcracker papers.  The Sugar Plum Fairy was fussy cut and covered with Sakura 3D Crystal Lacquer.

The Sugar Plum Fairy almost looks like she is dancing off the page.

Sakura Turkeys!!!

HAPPY THANKSGIVING

What is Thanksgiving without cute Turkeys on the table!
I haven't decided if I am going to write names on these for each place setting or use then in the centerpiece and save them for next year! What would you do?

To make them roll out a thin sheet of Creative Paperclay®.

Cute out turkeys using a hand shaped cookie cutter. I added the beak and waddle, I know they aren't perfect... set aside to dry.

Once dry sand to get rid of the ruff edges.  Paint with Sakura 3D Crystal Lacquer and Terri Sproul Mixers! Adhere a a seed bead with Sakura 3D Crystal Lacquer for the eye.

Fun With Sakura and Outline Stickers!

Today I had the opportunity to work with Outline Stickers from Sparkraft Enterprises with Sukura Hobby Craft products. The Outline Stickers are various colors and textured PVC foil adhesive backed sticker sheets.
For the first technique, place the Outline Sticker on a Miracle Sheet and cut the size of the panel to be used. Then over one of a little pan  pour Terri Sproul Ultra Fine Glitter, shake off the excess.  With a piece of paper over the image burnish the glitter into the Miracle Sheet with the side of a bone folder.
Use Copics to color the image.
This butterfly was fussy cut
and attached to the card directly.

The second technique, place the Outline Stickers on a transparency.  Add desired colors of Terri Sproul Mixers to  to Sakura 3D Crystal Lacquer. Paint the images with a rainbow of colors to create a stain glass look.
Fussy cut the images from the transparency
and create one of a kind cards!
I didn't have much luck staying in the lines when I painted them, I was a bit impatient. Once dry, MY TRICK IS, since I used a transparency I was able to use the back side of my images as the finished product. The Sakura 3D  Crystal Lacquer and Terri Sproul Mixers are transparent and look great on the Sparkraft Enterprises Outline Stickers

Please click on the images to get a closer look at how cool they look!!!

THANK YOU VETS!

I cannot begin to express in words how thankful I am for those that have or are serving in the armed forces of this great country of ours! So many have served. Every one is a HERO in my eyes.
In Remembrance on VETERANS DAY!

My card today is of the Iwo Jima Memorial, also known as the U. S. Marine Corps War Memorial, it honors the Marines who have died defending the United States since 1775. This image of the Iwo Jima Memorial is a rubber stamp from Viva Las Vegastamps!

One of my hobbies is collecting vintage photos and photo albums.  I found a few pictures in my collection I would like to share:
1943 Kenneth visiting home Tulsa, Oklahoma

Bobby USS New Mexico 1922

USS Etlah AN79 Mine Sweeper 1945

Navy air transport (no info on the back)

THANK YOU all who have served and continue to serve in Army, Air Force, Navy and Marines. Take care to those serving today.  You are in my thoughts and prayers each day!

Thanksgiving Greetings!

Thanksgiving is less than 2 weeks and I sure have a lot to be thankful for!  Today I have two projects made with the VLVS! Cornucopia or horn of plenty is a symbol of abundance and nourishment, commonly a large horn-shaped container shaped overflowing with produce. See more here at Wikipedia
First a card for the holiday.  Here I stamped the VLVS! Cornucopia directly on a piece of pattern paper with Versamark Ink.  Heat embossed with Ultra High Gloss Embossing Powder and colored with Tim Holtz Distress Markers.
The image was layered on several pieces of card stock adhered with VLVS! Miracle Tape. Now write a note inside and send out in the mail!
Dress up your dining table on Thanksgiving with my second project, a napkin ring. Stamp the VLVS! Cornucopia on Kromecote Cardstock with Versamark Ink.  Heat emboss with Ultra High Gloss Embossing Powder and color with Tim Holtz Distress Markers.
Fussy cut the image and attach to a piece of paper that will fit around your napkins. Wait to attach the ends until you are ready to wrap the napkins and adhere with VLVS! Miracle Tape!
