Fairies!

If you love fairies you need to check out all the Altered Pages Fairy collage sheets! I fell in love with fairies as a young girl. My mother would tell us not to pick the flowers in the garden as they were home to fairies.  We had one of the most beautiful gardens in the neighborhood!
To make this card:
Cut card stock and Glitz background paper to size. Use chocolate ink to distress edges of Glitz paper.  Adhere ribbon to the Glitz sheet and layer on the ivory card stock Fussy cut the roses from a second sheet of the background paper and fussy cut fairy. Adhere wings, fairy and layer roses on the card.  Add a gem to the flower on the fairies head.

Altered Pages Supplies:
Background paper from the 6x6 Glitz Paper Pack Hello Friend
Fairy from the AP collage sheet 1060D Fairy Dolls

My stash: Ribbon, wings and gem. Base card and Ivory card stock.

My Farewell Post as a Sakura Design Team Member!

First, I would like to congratulate the new Sakura Hobby Craft Design Team.  I am sure we are in for a ton of great inspiration over the next six months!

The 3D Crystal Lacquer is my go to adhesive.  I also love using it as a finish on many of my projects.  Add Terri Sproul Mixers in the 3D Crystal Lacquer and your imagination is your only limit... you can create so many projects with the combination.

I use 3D Crystal Lacquer on almost all of my paper projects. It gives paper a thickness that I love working  with. There are a lot of digital images you can print from online sites like AlteredPages.com. To give those images a little more pop I cover them with a thin layer of 3D Crystal Lacquer.

Here images from AlteredPages.com are covered with 3D Crystal Lacquer before I cut them from the page. I adhered the German Scrap/Dresden to the pictures with the 3D Crystal Lacquer.
The tags fold into each other to create a nice card!

Before I leave I would like to share a few of my favorite projects I made with
3D Crystal Lacquer and Terri Sproul Mixers!

It has been a great being on the team!! I hope the next enjoys it as much as I have!

THANK YOU
Sakura Hobby Craft and Terri Sproul!

Artist Trading Blocks from Altered Pages!

Believe it or Not, this ATC started out as a block of wood!! Yes, you can purchase Artist Trading Blocks here at Altered Pages. They are a lot of fun since you have four sides and a top to work with.

To start paint the block with gold craft paint. Cover the side with French Kiss Glitz Paper. Get the images you would like to use on your ATC, for this one images are from:
This fussy cut lady was actually on a Valentine, a few feathers were added to her hat.
On the sides with the ladies there are few gems in the lower right. A little netting was added to the hat behind the big bow of this lady.
The Eiffel Tower is from the French Kiss Glitz Paper pack.
The Leaky Shed Fancy Keyhole can be found at Altered Pages HERE! Vintage trim from my stash was added around the bottom to give it a finished look. Finally it was topped off with beads, buttons and a jewel.

Hope this convinces you try to make a few ATIST TRADING BLOCKS.  They make great gifts!

Sakura Vintage By the SeaShore Valentine!

Vintage Valentines are my favorites. Here is an altered tin with a vintage by the SeaShore Valentine image.
Coat the tin with the Red from the Sakura Primary Color Set 3D Crystal Color Lacquer. While wet add the red doily. Adhere the image with Sakura 3D Crystal Lacquer and coat the image with a thin layer of Sakura 3D Crystal Lacquer.  I find the  lacquer enhances the color of the images.
Adhere small shells around the edge of the doily using the
Sakura 3D Crystal Lacquer add a few shells to the bottom of the image. With the Red Stikles add a border around the tin. Use Gold Stikles to create a border around the image.
