Fascinators for St. Patrick's Day

HAPPY ST. PATRICK'S DAY!!!

Card made with an image from Altered Pages!

You will find these festive fastinators for sale at

408 Pacific Ave Bremerton, WA
Saturday March 16th
Just in time for St. Patrick's Day!
Had made with Creative Paperclay® it is hard to believe these were once a clump of clay.  Cut into three pieces and air dried and sanded to smooth the surface. Then the top and brim are attached with slip.  Air dried again before painting.

The fascinators were painted with Sakura 3D Crystal Lacquer & Terri Sproul Mixers. Then embellished with hat band, feathers and beads.

Here is one of the Fascinators next to a 4 1/2 x 5 1/4 card. They aren't very big, each is attached to a head band.

Enjoy a safe HAPPY ST PATRICK'S DAY!

Altered Pages Lavender Egg!

Easter and coloring eggs is such fun... the only thing is the eggs only last a day or two!  I picked up four eggs from Claywerks, 408 Pacific, downtown Bremerton!  Instead of painting them with glaze and firing them in the a kiln like they are intended...  I painted them with Sakura 3D Crystal Lacquer and Terri Spourl Mixers!!!  LOVE the vibrant colors!

The image of the rabbit is from one of the beautiful Easter Collage Sheets at Altered Pages. Dew Drops from The Robin's Nest and German Scrap (dresden foil) adhered with Sakura 3D Crystal Lacquer were used to make the beautiful embellishment around the egg.

I will be entering my egg in

Altered Paint Brush Swap with VLVS!

At Viva Las VegaStamps! we have a swap periodically... I have really enjoyed them the first one we did was altered mouse traps.  This one is paint brushes... I really had a great time with this one.  Only two rules... follow the theme "Nature" and you must use one VLVS! stamp!

The fun part of this project was melting the bristles with the heat gun.  They curled up nicely to give the brush a nice bushy look!
The handle was painted with Alcohol Inks.. it almost looks like beautiful wood! The VLVS! used were the VLVS! Birds Nest and VLVS! Large Bird Flying Left. Both were stamped with black ink, heat embossed with VLVS! Ultra High Gloss Embossing Powder, colored with Tim Holtz Distress Markers and coated with a thin layer of 3D Sakura Crystal Lacquer.

Add blue eggs (Dew Drops), paper flowers and feathers for the fishing tackle shop!!!
Top the brushes off with beautiful silk ribbons!

Keep an eye out for the next swap!!!

Another Fairy from Altered Pages!

I love creating cards using images of Fairies... Here is a Fairy using one of the many Altered Pages Fairy collage sheets (Click on the link to see more fairies)!

To make the card: Distress the ivory cardstock panel and doily with chocolate ink, adhere doily to ivory cardstock. Attach lace around the edge of panel, then layer with the Glitz Cardstock Journal Sticker. Fussy cut fairy. Adhere wings, fairy and layered flowers  on the card. Add a pearl embellishments as desired.

Altered Pages Supplies:
Background paper from the Glitz Cardstock Journal Stickers
Fairy from the AP collage sheet 1060D Fairy Dolls

My stash: Flowers, lace wings, doily and pearls. Base card and Ivory card stock.
