Cute Mugs!

I am a coffee drinker!!!  These would may the cutest treat cups for a party!  You could fill them with chocolates, cookies or even a gift card.  Wouldn't one of these cups be cute filled with goodies as a teachers gift.  Or for an Alice in Wonderland party. There are so many gift ideas for these cups!

Supplies:
Robin's Nest Pink Glitter Swirl Cardstock & Rosy Diamond Cardstock
Cutter
ScorPal
Double stick adhesive
Trim - optional

To get 2 cups from one piece of 12 X 12 cardstock, make your 8 1/2 inch cut first.  Then cut at 6 inches.  For the handle cut a 1/2 inch by 5 inch strip of paper.

Score on the 8 1/2 inch side every inch, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7 and 8, leaving 1/2 inch at the end.

Then on the 6 inch side score at 1 1/2 inches and 4 1/2 inches.  Score with a bone folder!

On the 1/2 side cut a tab as pictured above.

On one of the 6 inch sides cut every inch to the score line.

On the opposite side put a strip of double sided tape, leave a half inch free of tape on the end opposite of the tab you cut.

Here is a picture of the tab cut, the cuts to the score line and the tape.

Remove the tape and fold over, this is the top of the cup.  This makes the cup sturdy having the paper doubled around the top.

Make sure all scores have been burnished with a bone folder.

Put double sided tape on the right side of the tab.

Slide the tab between the folds at the top of the mug.

Put double sided tap on four tabs next to each other.

Tape each tab to the one opposite, lining them up to keep the shape of the mug.

Until all four taped tabs are done as pictured above.

To attach the handle, put tape on the right side of the pattern paper and attach to the mug about 1 1/2 inches from the top.

On the opposite end put double sided tape on the wrong side of the pattern paper and attach at the base of the mug.

THERE YOU HAVE A FEW MUGS!!!!
