Loving Dixie Belle Paints!

Need a rustic looking bottle, no need to look any further than your Dixie Belle Paint!!!  The Altered Pages Design Team will be sharing projects created with Dixie Belle Paint all month!!  I loved how the paint went on the glass bottle I altered for my project today.

Recycling bottles are great for making a large number of center pieces.  After I made this bottle I was thinking of tons of occasions you could make center pieces for using this tutorial!

Bottle - Brown Beer bottle
Painters Tape
Gel Medium

Clean bottle and remove any residue from labels. Apply painters tape to areas you don't want painted.  Paint the bottle with Dixie Belle Paint - Sea Glass.  Let dry.

Over the dry Dixie Belle Paint - Sea Glass with a cloth or paper towel apply a light layer of  Dixie Belle Van Dyke Brown Glaze, let dry.

Once the Dixie Belle Van Dyke Brown Glaze is dry remove the painters tape and apply a layer of Gel Medium over the entire bottle.

From the Altered Pages Victorian Labels Collage Sheet select a couple of labels and  use Gel Medium to adhere them to the bottle.

Use a piece of the Burlap with Gel Medium to wrap around the top of the bottle.

Wrap a piece of Burlap around the neck of the bottle, hold in place with a piece of the burlap twine.

Finally embellish with Charms.

Some final shots of my DIXIE BELL project!
