Steampunk Octogrump!

Today I am playing with another of the Smeared Ink Steampunk Grumpies with Altered Pages products!  When I showed this card to my husband he said I needed a yellow submarine... at first I didn't get it then I realized this little Octogrump has his own little garden of gears!!! 

 

 

 

 

 

Color the Smeared Ink digi Octogrump with Chameleon Pens, fussy cut, add rhinestone eyes with Tacky Glue.

Attach the mat and background paper to the card base, lay the white netting from Mermaid Fantasy Muse  Kit and add embellishments.  Ink the white Bazzill Edges Mini with blue before attaching with Tacky Glue.

 

 

 

 

Ink the upper left corner of the card lightly with white ink.  Attach dew drops, Anchor and seahorse with Tacky Glue.   Ink the Chipboard Gears with Delicata Gold and Black inks.

 

 

Adhere the Smeared Ink digi Octogrump with Dimensional Adhesive and Tacky Glue, add the German Scrap Crown and locking washer.

 

  Finish the card with twine.

Altered Pages & Smeared Ink - Fly with Steampunk!

Today I shared on the Altered Pages blog a card with the Steampunk digi  image Winged Grumpy from Smeared Ink!  What I love about working with digi images is the ability to size them! Also I really enjoy coloring them with my Chameleon Pens!

 

 

 

Background from the Altered Pages "Fly with Steam" collage sheet, the edges of the background image were distressed Memento Toffee Crunch using a finger dabber.

 

The image is colored with Chameleon pens.

 

He is layered on black cardstock and popped off the page with adhesive dimensionals.  Wink of Stella Pen Nib was used to add a bit of sparkle to the little Winged Grumpy.

Washers from the hardware store were added to his wings with Tacky Glue.

 

Sari Silk ribbon was added to finish the card.

Altered Pages and Smeared Ink!

Here is another card I did for the Altered Pages blog.  We are partnering with Smeared Ink using  some of their digital images from the Smeared Ink Steampunk Collection.   

 

 

 

Today I am using a Smeared Ink digital Steampunk image Grumpy named "Goggles"!!!  You guessed it he is wearing major goggles!

Color the Smeared Ink Steampunk Grumpy with alcohol inks, use colors that would make him stand out from the background.  I the pictures it is hard to see, the chain, bolts and buckle are highlighted with the Wink Pen Nib.

 

 

The background is an Altered Pages image from the collage sheet Steampunk and Science matted on black card stock!  Dew Drops were added to the lenses.

Steampunk Rider!

This month I will be sharing Steampunk digi images from Smeared Ink Steampunk Collection!  Today I shared this card over on the Altered Pages blog!!! 

 

 

 Smeared Ink Bluebird Rider 

 

 

Color Smeared Ink Bluebird Rider with Chameleon pens.   

 

 

 

 

 Create background on 83lb drawing paper using stencils and mists, set aside to dry.

Ink chipboard gears with black, heat emboss with clear embossing powder.

 

Ink edges with Delicata Gold ink, heat emboss a second time with clear embossing powder.  

Cut the card base from the background created above. 

Assemble the card.  With Tacky Glue attach the gears, use dimensional double sided tape to adhere  Smeared Ink image.

 

Embellish with rhinestones! Add a bit of Wink of Stella to the wings of the Bluebird!
