Creative Paperclay® Mask

Creative Paperclay® is so versatile. If you need something and can't find it, my motto is, "just make it with Creative Paperclay®."
My design team application post today is creating a mask.  It could be used as a wall decoration or to wear if you like.
At the dollar store pick up a package of party favor masks, to make the mask use several of these together for a firm mold.
Roll out Creative Paperclay® about 1/8 of an inch thick. Be sure that enough clay has been rolled out.  Line the inside of the mask with the clay.
Cut out the eyes and set aside to dry, 24 hours on the mask mold.
Once removed from the mold allow to dry another 24 hours. Drying time will depend on humidity. Once dry sand the edges with a very fine grit until smooth.
Using one of the flowers from a paper napkin was the inspiration for this mask.  A doily will be the crown on the mask and a butterfly wing an eye lash!  The flower fit the mask perfectly using the center of the flower as the eye! Separate the three layers of tissue of the napkin.  Most decorative napkins have three layers.

Adhere the napkin with clear Sakura Crystal Lacquer and set aside to dry.  Note: once the napkin has touched lacquer do not try to move, the napkin will tear.
Paint the doily with Sakura Crystal Lacquer and Terri Sproul Mixers - Gold. Using 2 doilies that have never been separated, thickly paint with the gold lacquer. When it dries the doily feels like plastic.
When the napkin has dried. Paint the rest of the mask, Sakura Crystal Lacquer and Terri Sproul Mixers  Red  Garnet and Citrine mixed (gives you a beautiful tangerine color.)
Adhere a few Robins Nest Dew Drops with Crystal Lacquer.
Also, with Crystal Lacquer adhere the VLVS! Pretty Butterfly stamped on tissue and heat embossed with VLVS! Ultra High Gloss Embossing Powder.
Your mask is finished!
