Terri Sproul Mixers on Paper Bird Cage and Birds

This week I had the opportunity to go to the Heirloom Productions ~ Puyallup Rubber Stamp & Paper Arts Festival here in the State of Washington.  I had a great time. So much to see, people to meet and products to try.  I did buy a few things and am using a couple them to make my card: the bird die cut, bird cage die cut and the Vintag Moss Patina.

This was  fun card to create. I just love all the products!
To make the card, die cut the bird cage 2 times (white and gray card stock) and 2 birds on white card stock.

The gray bird cage will be a shadow in the background.

Mix Sakura 3D Crystal Lacquer with Terri Sproul's Mixer - Gold and paint the white die cut bird cage.  With Sakura 3D Crystal Lacquer with Terri Sproul's Mixer Aquamarine paint the birds. Set aside to dry.
Once the bird cage is dry with a sponge (I used my finger) lightly spread the Vintag Moss Patina on the gold bird cage.  Now the cage has an aged look, like it has been lived in!

This is a GREAT die because the bird cage has a door that OPENS! Isn't that awesome!

Mr & Mrs Blue Bird are so excited about their little "Blessings of Joy" in the nest!

To assemble: Cut approximately half of an acetate frame and adhere to the pattern paper. Attach the gray bird cage die directly to the pattern paper. Layer the bird nest dimensional sticker in the bird cage.  Use foam tape to pop the bird cage painted with Sakura 3D Crystal Lacquer and Terri Sproul's Mixer - Gold.  Add Mr & Mrs Blue Bird with foam tape. Finally the dimensional "Blessings of Joy" sticker.

I love what you did with this birdcage. I have that die, and you have certainly inspired me to pull it out and make something with it. TFS. Love the technique.
