Art Anthology - Online Winged Heart Class

Yesterday I took a FANTASTIC class with the AMAZING Stayce DeWid from ArtAnthology.net HERE!

We created our own clay embellishments on a 4x4 canvas using Art Anthology Mixed Media products! We spent an AWESOME hour plus with Stayce online.

To join online classes with product, you need to register with time to receive the product in the mail. My package arrived a couple of day before class filled with inspiring products!

The kit included the following full size products:
1 4x4 Chunky gallery wrapped canvas
1 Bloom Stencil (if you already have it then please leave a comment and choose a different stencil.
1 Grunge paste
1 Quick Cure Clay
1 Prima Wings mould
1 Antique Gold Art Anthology wax paste
1 Colorations Color spray of your choice - I ordered PLUSH

Other supplies: craft mat, heat tool, spatula, paper towels and container of water to drop stencil, disposable gloves, spatula and mould after use.

I have have several colors of Art Anthology Colorations in my mixed media products.  On my canvas I used two colors of  Art Anthology Colorations, Plush and Siesta Key

After a rocky start, I am really happy with the outcome of my canvas.  I highly recommend opening all products before class.  I had difficulty opening on of my containers, which put me a little behind at one time.  Also, prior to class have your creative space ready with computer/laptop close by. 

The crown, "Live, Love, Laugh" and the music box key are metal embelishemtns from my personal collection.  They were the perfect finished on my canvas.

LCD ~ Tag You're It Challenge

"Tag You're It" is the current challenge on the Lost Coast Designs on their blog HERE. 

Lost Coast Designs Silhouette Ballerina with Stars mounted on an acrylic block! 

Stamped on a large tag with Versafine black, then embossed with clear embossing powder. 

 

The Ballerina was masked and then used rain stencil with Art Anthology Glass over the tag.  Let it dry.

Spray with Art Anthology Coloration Sprays: Patience, Timeless and Siesta Key! 

Dab the excess off the tag to reveal the stenciled rain drops on the tag!

Add a Little Birdie flower and leaves.

Tie with a beautiful bow!

Stencils of Paris!

Having fun with stencils.  The more the better.  Love all the layers!  The large tags make great embellishments for gift bags.

Supplies:
Collage sheet Transparency Beauties
Large Tag
Feathers Stencil 
Carte Postale Stencil
Art Expression Stencil
Mist 
Ink
Metallic Luster Rub
German foil - Heart and Tassels
Flowers
Sheet Music scrap
Lace & Ribbon
Tacky Glue

 

On Large Tag lay the Art Expression Stencil spray Mist, let dry.

Place the Feathers Stencil  over the Art Expression Stencil on the Large Tag use Metallic Luster Rub to add a feather to the tag!

From Collage sheet Transparency Beauties cut image of one of the beauties. 

From the Carte Postale Stencil randomly add Paris images to the tag with ink.

Attach German foil - Heart and Tassels with Tacky Glue.

Add Lace and Flowers to the bottom of the tag with Tacky Glue.

Attach a bit of Sheet Music scrap with Tacky Glue  to the top the tag.  Finally, add Ribbons!

Spring is in the Air!

Don't you just LOVE Spring?  The weather is warming up, flowers are getting ready to bloom and birds are singing in the morning! As I post this the birds are outside the window tweeting away.  Makes me smile. 

Today I have a beautiful tag created with the Music Sheet Stencil, on the Large Watercolor Tag and Little Birdie Medley. 

Supplies:
Music Sheet Stencil
Altered Pages Collage Sheet - Little Spring Birdies
Large Watercolor Tag
Little Birdie Medley
Gelatos
Metallic Rub
Water brush
Mist Brown
Tacky Glue
Ribbon - Seam Binding

Spray water on  Large Watercolor Tag, add color to tag with Gelatos (blue and yellow) with Water brush blend colors on the tag, let dry.  Spray with Mist Brown on the tag, let dry.

With Metallic Rub and Music Sheet Stencil add the notes to the top of the Large Watercolor Tag.  Apply a little rub around the edge of the tag.

Cut image from Altered Pages Collage Sheet - Little Spring Birdies, use in the center of Little Birdie Medley.  Arrange Little Birdie Medley, attach with Tacky Glue.

Last add Ribbon - Seam Binding to the tag!
