If you read my blog you know I collect old pictures... this is an interesting one. I love finding pictures that give a hint of the past. This one was great since it had James M Cole Circus on the side of the truck. From what I could gather from the internet, the James M Cole Circus toured from the mid 40's to the mid 50's and primarily on the East Coast.
Program (partial) included: Tonio Alverdo, acrobatic wizard of the wire; the Conley family, bareback riders; Bedell Troupe, teeterboard acrobats; Lew Barton's liberty horses. In the Concert were Tama Frank and Patsy with knife throwing, whip cracking, rope spinning. Also Tama Frank Jr., World's Tiniest Rope Spinner. From HERE Circus History Org
