A Card That Brings Back Memories!

This card brings many memories.  I have two sisters and we has so much fun together when we were younger... playing outside.  This image reminds me of when we would play tag!  Anyone else ever play tag?

Supplies:
Rubber Stamp Depot - Three Sisters image
Black ink
Black Embossing Powder
Kaiser Craft Botanical Odyssey
Water Brush
Niji Paints
Flower
Giant Image Rhinestones
Double Stick Tape
Glue Stick
Tacky Glue
Card Base

For this project all papers are from the Kaiser Craft Botanical Odyssey 6 1/2 inch pad.  In the back of the pad are 4 pages of die cuts, I incorporated a few on the card.

First, choose a piece of Kaiser Craft Botanical Odyssey to stamp the Rubber Stamp Depot - Three Sisters image with Black ink, then emboss with Black Embossing Powder.

This sheet of the Kaiser Craft Botanical Odyssey is perfect... it provides a light patterned background for the images.

I love layers, the Kaiser Craft Botanical Odyssey paper pad provides a lot of choices of paper that compliment each other... Pictured I have a base mat for the card and other pieces I plan to layer, plus several die cuts.  These and larger papers are adhered with Double Stick Tape and the die cut images with Glue Stick to the Card Base.

I did this a little backwards... I wasn't planning to colorize the image, but it looked a bit dull.  My Water Brush and Niji Paints did the trick.  Since my card was assembled I tried to use as little water as possible to keep the card from warping.

To add a bit of bling I cut a flower in half and adhered to the card with Tacky Glue!

Then on top of the flower add a Giant Rhinestones!!!

Here is a die cut tucked under one of the layers of paper!

31 Days of Halloween - Day 1

Welcome
to Day 1 of the

ARE YOU READY for some HAUNTINGLY GOOD FUN?
Stop by each day this month...

During the month of October I am participating as a Wicked Blogger in a month-long blog hop with some amazing artists.  Everyday you will find a new Halloween project mine as well as all of the blogs listed to the right under the 31 Days of Halloween Badge.

If you choose you can participate as a Horrifying Hopper or a Sinister Lurker!!

What You Have To Do to be a Horrifying Hopper:
Hop through each of the Wicked Blogs that are participating and leave a comment on each project. No need to sign up, just start on the first day and work your way through all the blogs. All Horrifying Hoppers will receive a Survival Button at the end of the month to proudly post on their blog.

What You Have To Do to be a Sinister Lurker:
Some of you can't participate all month long, and that's okay! Only Wicked Bloggers and Horrifying Hoppers are up for the grand prize drawing, but if you can't do either of those you will still have the chance to win some Lurker prizes! We will be hiding scavenger hunt pictures randomly throughout the month on various participating blogs...if you find one on any given day, you will be put in for that day's freebie drawing. It may be a coupon, a free digi, or a Halloween goodie, who knows! We are working on some great sponsor prizes for the scavenger hunt this year, and it will be well worth your time to visit every once in a while.

Witchy Shrine for Halloween!

This was a really fun project... purple is fast becoming one of my favorite Halloween colors!

"You say I am a witch like it is a bad thing"

Altered Pages Design Team members are having a great time partnering with SinCity Stamps and their Design Team this month!!! I hope you have been inspired by all the great projects this month!

Today I am working with the Window Chipboard Shrine designed by Barbara Rankin.  This was a really fun project.

To start, I used my bone folder and created a score-line where I wanted to fold the shrine. Then I inked all the edges, including the fold creases and back. In this post if I mention stamping, everything is stamped with black ink.

Cover the three panels with pattern cardstock. Before adhering stamp images, center panel has the Winged Skeleton stamped and heat emboss with clear embossing powder. Print the Altered Pages Collage Sheet "H"is for Halloween
on Craft Attitude Printable film. Cut the "H" from the sheet you would like to use and adhere with glue stick.

Cover the shrine window with tacky glue and sprinkle with Vintage Glass Glitter - Lavender. Set aside to dry.  Once dry add foam dots (here they are double stacked). Glue paper raven to the back of the frame and set aside to dry.

Stamp Pumpkin Hot Air Balloon directly on the left panel and on a white piece of paper and heat emboss with clear embossing powder. Using Copics color the image stamped on the white paper. Fussy cut the witch in the basket and the pumpkin balloon with the cat on top.  Adhere these to the card.

Stamp sentiment Witch Phrase, "You say I am a witch like it is a bad thing"on the third (right) panel. Add felt raven and Glitz Large Rhinestones Raven (looks like the moon).
