Fairy Merry Chirstmas - Relatively Thoughtful

"I love card making, especially at Christmas. Call me crazy, but I love to fussy cut the trees in “A Tremendous Christmas” collection. The trees are full of brilliant colours. When creating this card, I had almost all the trees cut out; this gave me a selection to work with. Enjoy!."

One more in my series of Jane Inspired Projects!

“Indulge your imagination in every possible flight.”  Are from a letter Elizabeth writes to her aunt Mrs. Gardiner in Pride and Prejudice.

If you haven't guessed I am a fan of Jane Austen!  I love creating things JANE! Today I have another tag created with Blank Page Muse stamps.  I love the two Jane inspired plates of Jane images and words.

To create the tag, I used the following stamps from Blank Page Muse:

Words by Jane Sentiments & Silhouette Images Rubber Art Stamp Sheet SC202

Daisy Flower Art Rubber Stamp TTS117-08

I really fell in love this the background on this tag.  To create the tag, randomly stamp the Blank Page Muse Daisy Flower on the text. With a blending brush apply Fossilized Amber heavily on the stamped flowers.  Then lightly apply the ink to the space between the flowers.  Attach the text to the tag and trim off excess paper.

Stamp the silhouette and sentiment of ivory cardstock.  Layer the srapmed ivory carstock on light yellow and brown cardstock. Then attach to the tag with dimensional foam.

Finish the tag by adding flower, half pearls and fibers.

Fourth in my series of Blank Pag Muse Jane Inspired Projects!

Today’s tag is inspired by a quote from Jane Austen’s Mansfield Park.  “I was quiet, but I was not blind.” Fanny says this during a difficult conversation with Mary Crawford, the night before Mary & Henry Crawford are to leave for London.

To create the tag, I used the following stamps and stencil from Blank Page Muse:

Butterflies and Flowers Layering Mixed Media Stencil BPMSTbflower

Words by Jane Sentiments & Silhouette Images Rubber Art Stamp Sheet SC202

Other supplies
Distress Inks Dried Marigold, Ripe Persimmon and Squeezed Lemonade
VersaFine Black Onyx ink
Flower & Half Pearls Fibers

First, with a blending brush lightly apply Dried Marigold Distress Oxide to the base tag. Then using the Butterflies and Flowers Layering Mixed Media Stencil BPMSTbflower and small blending brushes, apply Ripe Persimmon Distress Oxide ink to the edges of the flowers then and Squeezed Lemonade Distress Oxide ink to the center.

On ivory cardstock stamp the Blank Page Muse image and sentiment.  Did you notice Jane's face in the silhouette? Sort of spooky.

Layer the ivory paper with the stamped images on a coordinating cardstock.

Add flowers, half pearls and fibers to finish the tag.
