Recent cards I made to send off to CFH...
Cards for Hero's Mission is: To support our nation’s armed forces by sending blank greeting cards to write home on, as well as cards of gratitude to encourage them.
There are several challenges going on at CARDS for HERO's. August 15th is the dead line for the Christmas Challenge here... Please take the challenge with me!
The cards below are a few I finished the last couple of weeks (remember these are blank cards for our troops to send home). I have other patriotic cards that I send with a message of thanks and appreciation inside!
Now onto CHRISTMAS! Please join us in making cards for OUR HERO'S.

The Art Party, at The Salvage Studio, is an all day art retreat on September 19! You can still register. They have a little TEASER on their blog. Looking for a home for these wonderful houses!!!
HOME FOR DOLL HOUSES FOUND... THANKS TO THOSE WHO HELPED!
I have offered to help a friend find a home for these AWESOME houses his mother built. We hope to find a place they will be loved and cherished. Like a museum or a collection.
Each house weighs about 60 to 70 lbs. They are wired for lights & are very complete. They both were made with loving care, notes were kept while being built and of the purchases.
The first is The Orchard Slope. The dimensions are 32" x 32" x 32". It was built from a kit.
The second is based on "Anne of Green Gables" novels, & includes the books used to create it. The dimensions are 50" x 28" x 36" tall. This house was built from scratch.

Artists use a three-dimensional torso as their canvas to create a mixed media work of art. Pieces are displayed in the gallery with a silent auction running to mid-November to benefit breast cancer awareness and research.
