Blank Page Muse - Just a Note

I love vintage and distressed cards, with layers... a lot of layers!  How about you?  For this card I created the vintage background paper with Blank Page Muse stamps. 

For this card I used the following from Blank Page Muse:

Velum
Gathered Twigs Distress Oxide Ink or other brown ink
Stazon Black ink

Dimensional Foam
Ink blending tool

All images were stamped with Stazon ink. 

Stamp postage images on random scraps of paper and fussy cut.  Ink the edges with a brown ink. 

Stamp the pen nibs on to velum.

Stamp the postcard on pattern paper, choose paper with a faint or light pattern or color. Tear around the stamped mage. Ink the edges with a brown ink. 

On the background mat, 5 3/4 x 5 3/4 inches, randomly stamp partial images of the Handwriting image. Fold back the upper right corner and crease as pictured in the finished card.  Ink the edges with a brown ink. 

Stamp a second piece of coordinating paper, 5 3/4 x 5 3/4 inches, with the Handwriting image in the upper right corner. Ink the edges with a brown ink.


To assemble the card.

• Attach the coordinating patten paper stamped in the corner to the card base first.

• Adhere the background with the folder back upper right corner on the card base.
• Attach the postcard as pictured.
• Tuck one stamped image behind the postcard as pictured.
• Attach the vellum to the card.
• Attach remaining stamp, use dimensional foam attach a couple of them.
• With dimensional foam attach "Just a Note."

Project Action - Oval galaxy on a wobbler spinning in space.
Colors Northern Lights – Pearlescent watercolor oval galaxy, colors change
Element Blackboard – Black mat (blackboard) with white splatter stars (chalk)
Random OVAL The painted galaxy is an oval die cut.


To appreciate the colors of the Northern Lights colors of the galaxy one needs to see the card in person. The colors change as the galaxy wobbles through space!

Games Charm Swap

Last month I participated in a charm swap on Facebook in the Mixed Media Art Swaps & Crafting Club.  We had to make a charm and ATC from a game.  I choose dominos. These were a lot of fun to make.  If you are infested in joining fun swaps, ask to join the group.

A lot of coffee fun on this card. Trinity bunny is back, I’ll clean after coffee” on his mug and holding a feather duster, another duster inside. I am having so much FUNN with my Trinity Bunny!

Blank Page Muse - Spring Makes My Heart Sing

I am ready for Spring in full bloom!  How about you?  Today I have played with stencil, paste, ink, digi papers and velum.

Cut background mat from the April Small Calendar digital papers by Pam Bray, to desired size. On the background mat with the Hearts & Broken Hearts Stencil add red hearts.

Use the TCW554 Stencil Butterfly Collage with teal and gold paste add the butterfly and other textures. 

Set aside to dry.

Stamp the large poppy on velum with Stazon black ink three times.  Masking when the flowers overlap.  Make sure the stamped images are wider than the card. Let the ink dry. Once the ink is dry.  Fussy cut along the top and bottom edges of the flowers. Leave enough velum on the sides, the velum will be wrapped around the sides of the card.  Fold one side if the stamped velum and adhere edge to the back of the card.  Repeat on the other side.  

Attach the stenciled and stamped mat to the base teal mat. Adhere the teal mat to the base card.
