Simple Stories

Cards everyone made in my Simple Stories - Vintage Christmas card class at the Scrapbook Zone in November.  It was a full class with 22 students.  Love a full class.  So many people making new friends!

Basic Supplies:  Paper trimmer, scissors, ruler, bone folder, wet glue, double-sided adhesive or tape runner roll of foam tape and dimensional foam tape! A GOLD pen for edging and Wink of Stella for adding shimmer!  Optional: NUVO crystals, sequins, ribbon, charms. Addition 11/2018 emery board.

Mermaid Ornament

This my mermaid ornament has to be one of my all time favorites. 

 

All metal charms and pressed metal from Echo ArtWorks my all time favorite local bead store!

 

 

 

 

Supplies:

Small tin

Beads & Charms

Head Pins

Vintaj Patinas

Glass glitter

Stickles

Tulle

Vintage silk ribbons

 

This is the finished ornament, the tin is approximately 2.5 inches in diameter. 

 

The tin was first painted with Vintaj Patinas. The rim coated with glue to adhere vintage glass silver glitter.  Add a bit of Stickles for bling in the creases of the tin.  One hole was punched in the top and three on the bottom of the tin.

 

 

Tule adds a softness to the inside of the tin.  A stamped metal heart with a mermaid & seahorse was glued to the bottom of the tin. A stamped metal heart frame was hung from the hole in the top of the tin.  Attached to a headpin with beads on the outside of the time. Colorful ribbons tied around the headpin. 

 

Three headpins with beads and charms (sea shell and seahorses) hang from the lower three holes.  The heart in the bottom of the tin and the one dangling from the hole creates a 3-D effect.  The beads and ribbons from Echo ArtWorks.

 

'Tis the season - I joined a handmade holiday ornament swap in November of 2013! We each had to make two ornaments - one to swap and one to donate to the Charity Wings auction tree.

Cards from my Santa Baby Card Class last month!

Santa Baby was the first of my three Christmas card classes this year at the Scrapbook Zone here in Silverdale!  Thank you all who fill my classes each month!

The moment this line was out I fell in love with it.  Prima's Frank Garcia designed a beautiful line of paper that were so much fun to work with!
