Been preparing for our Thanksgiving feast since last night. I always serve my mother's fresh cranberry salad.
Turkey is in the oven!
I have always wanted to make a Thanksgiving Turkey with feathers, like when I was in grade school, not one made with my hand!!! Art Anthology Coloration Sprays were used for the feathers, body beak and feet. Velvet Dimensional Paint - Desire was used for a beautiful red wattle. The feathers are cut with an Elizabeth Craft Designs die!.
Art Anthology Colorations Timeless, Granny Smith, Juicy, Patience and Sedona. The sprays are vibrant!
Spraying Colorations on paper creates a spray/splattered pictured on the left. I was after a full coverage look, while the spray was still wet I smeared it with my fingers, see results on the right!

So much to be Thankful for!
As we finish the Thanksgiving week I think of how much I am thankful for in my life. This is one of my favorite holidays. Families and friends gather and enjoy a great meal together. There are tons of leftovers to feast on for several days, and a great turkey soup at the end.
All postcards from 1909!

Thanksgiving Greetings
What do you think of when you hear "Winter Holidays"?
When I think of winter holidays the first one that comes to mind is Thanksgiving. The weather is starting getting colder. The days are shorter and the countdown to Christmas has started. Before Christmas we have one other special day, THANKSGIVING!!! This is one of my favorite family holidays. It is a day of giving thanks. A day that doesn't have a lot of hoopla. Families and friends get together for a wonderful dinner, laugh and have a good time.
I have a few Thankful cards I shared at Altered Pages yesterday. I will be sending these to family far away.
Supplies:
Altered Pages Collage sheet Thanksgiving
Jolee's Leaves
Card Base
Pattern Papers
Cardstock - Orange & Brown
There is a lot of cutting and layering of papers!!!
Hope you enjoyed my cards!

I love holidays... ALL holidays! Thanksgiving being one on my favorites. It is a day my family shares our meal with friends and family. We have a wonderful time... it is wonderful spending time in the kitchen with the wonderful women in my life and my husband who is my biggest helper before everyone arrives. He always peels all the potatoes!!
For the table this year I decided to may place markers using wooden spoons from Altered Pages with the Altered Pages Altered Spoons Collage Sheet!
For the table this year I decided to may place markers using wooden spoons from Altered Pages with the Altered Pages Altered Spoons Collage Sheet!
These will add a festive touch to any table!
Supplies:
Pinecones from the Park
Leaves - Confetti
Small Clothes Pins
Ink the bowl of the wooden spoons and edges.
Cut strips of paper a little wider than the handle, use emery board or sand paper to smooth down the edges and remove excess paper.
Cut images to fit in the bowl of the spoon, lightly ink edges, adhere to the spoon using glue stick.
Cut ribbon 7 inches, tie in a knot around the neck of the spoon, move the knot to the side.
Add a thin line of Stickles around the bowl of the spoon. With tacky glue attach leaves and small pine cones.
With tacky Glue add a small clothes pin to the back of the spoon to hold a card with name (also balances the spoon.)
HAPPY THANKSGIVING!!!
