What is an ATB?

What is an ATB? An Artist Trading Block is kind of a 3D Artist Trading Card! The 3 x 3 x 3 block I am using is from Eileen Hull Designs.
During the month of May join the Altered Pages Design Team as we cross promot Eileen Hull Designs Artist Trading Block's along with the "The Artists on the Block" Design Team. The "The Artists on the Block" will be posting inspirational ATB's every Tuesday. The Altered Pages Design Team will be posting every Thursday, plus a few bonus posts during the month. Be sure to stop by often for a month of inspiration.

Eileen Hull Artist Trading Block
Tsukineko - StazOn Midi - Claret
Petaloo Flowers
Black Paint

Start with the two the diecut boards for the Eileen Hull Artist Trading Block, ink edges and corners with StazOn Midi Claret. Put double stick tape on the two tabs of one board, attach the tabs to the sides of the center square of the second board.  Fold up the top and bottom of the box and tuck tabs in. Adhere 2 3/4 x 2 3/4 papers to the block

Adhere 2 3/4 x 2 3/4 papers to the block. Embellish with papers, ribbons, glitter trims and more. Add four painted wooden feet!

A beautiful center piece for a ladies gathering!

Be sure to watch for more ATB's all month long!

Gift Wrapping on Spur of the MOMENT!!!

This has been a week of last minutes!!!

It is 9:30am today, when I get a call.
Caller: "Want to meet us at noon for lunch?"
Me: "I would love to."
Caller: "By the way, last weekend was xxx birthday."
Me: "Thanks for reminding me know. I have  couple of things for her."

I do have the gift. I looked at my gift wrap, nothing is appropriate for a birthday!  Well, the ladies I am meeting are some of my local artistic friends and they won't mind if I make something from what I have on hand!

I have an ATTITUDE...
Let's get working on the situation!

Craft Attitude™ printable film
Inkjet Printer
Black ink
Happy Birthday Stamp - A Muse
Tissue Paper

Bring out my Altered Pages images printed on Craft Attitude™ printable film (printed with my inkjet printer). If I had just printed this sheet I would have waited a few minutes before cutting to let the ink set.

Cut the swan image from the Altered Pages Collage Sheet Spring Birdies.  Peel the image from the white backing paper. On the ink side apply glue stick. Then adhere to the envelope. The lovely part of working with Craft Attitude™ it is reposition-able, until it sits for a bit.

With a Micron Pen doodle scallops to give the image a border. Sort of looks like postage stamp.

Stamp Happy Birthday, place card on tissue wrapped gift.

Finish with a bow!

10:30 Mission Complete!

I think she will be happy with her gift!

meet the challenge...
CREATE on the fly!
I am off to lunch,
Have a great day!

Altered Bag with Attitude!!!

What do you do when you need something at the last minute?
Usually run to the store!
For me to run to the store takes at least an hour...
an hour I didn't have to spare today!

Today I needed a gift bag and didn't have one big enough for my gift,
with no time to run to the store!!!
What does a crafty person do....
GET BUSY and make a gift bag!!

Recycle a brown paper bag with handles
Altered Pages Collage Sheet Little Spring Birdies
Craft Attitude™ printable film
12 x 12 card stock cut to size (POW Glitter paper)
Spray adhesive
Double Sided Tape

I had a few Altered Pages collage sheets that I had printed with my injet printer on Craft Attitude™ printable film.  The person this bag is for loves birds, I had a full sheet of Altered Pages Collage Sheet Little Spring Birdies waiting to be used. If I had not had the images previously printed on Craft Attitude™ I would have had to waited a few minutes before fussy cutting.
To make the bag, fussy cut each of the Craft Attitude printable film birds.  When cutting they became separated from the backing.  I held the film images with the backing as I cut to give the film more substance during  cutting.
Cut the 12 x 12 card stock to fit the bag.  The brown paper bag the front and back are covered with cardstock.  Adhere cardstock with Double Sided Tape.  For this project spray the SPRAY ADHESIVE directly onto the film images, use a spray box.  (Spray on the printed side of the film.)  Attach to the bag, rub until the image is firmly attached.
Glue some lace around the top of the bag for a finished look, add a bow.
You are now ready to fill your bag!

A gift bag in less than 30 minutes... that includes gathering supplies!
I have to confess I am a hoarder,
if I need to make something in a flash
I most likely have all the supplies available in my studio!

Mother's Day Blog Hop with Craft Attitude!

If you haven't heard of Craft Attitude™ printable film I highly recommend you spend some time on their website HERE... watch some of the videos and get to the store and pick up some Craft Attitude™!
I had FUN! Thank you Jonathan Fong for inviting me along with several other artists to join you in a week long blog hop sharing ideas for Mother's Day.  You will find the links to the other blogs at the end of this post!

My first thought was, what can I do with this product called Craft Attitude™?  I was so afraid it was going to be hard to work with. Let me tell you, I was astonished how easy CRAFT ATTITUDE™ is to work with.
Here are a few items I plan to use my Craft Attitude on in the future. Dominos, bottles, glass in frames, tins with see thru lids, tile, wood bezels, glass pendents and more. Oh you can work on fabric, shoes, paper and even burlap like Cindi did on Monday!
I printed some of my digital collage sheets from on my inkjet printer.  I let them sit over night. You really don't need to wait that long. Be sure if you have any lettering on  your image to flip the image before printing.
The film lifts very easily and doesn't stick to itself like TAPE!
I decided to make a heart ornament with one of the images from the Altered Pages "Mother Love" collage sheet. First rub glue stick on the wooden heart.
Lift the Craft Attitude™ film off the backing paper.
Lay it with the ink side of the film down onto the glue and rub it until you have it securely attached.  If you need to reposition it, you can, that is the beauty of this product!!!
With an x-acto knife remove the excess film.
Add beads and lace to trim, then a ribbon to tie it around a bottle or hang.
I can see this on a vase with flowers from the garden!
This will last long after the flowers are gone.
Now it is your turn...
get some ATTITUDE with

I can't wait to make ornaments for CHRISTMAS...
and it is only MAY!!!

Now go and see what the other artists are up to!!!
