Altered Pages Monday - Graphic 45 Bohemian

While at CHA  at the Graphic 45 booth we made these wonder tag pockets with Bohemian Bazaar papers and postcards.

I LOVE the brilliant colors!

To make the pocket, eyeballing it fold the tag about 1/3 of the way from the bottom.  Use double sided tape to adhere all papers and create the pocket. 

I think the Bohemian colors are perfect for Day of the Dead projects and cards!

Altered Pages Monday ~ Autumn Weddings!

I know the most popular month that brides choose to marry is June,
but the truth is weddings happen all year long.

Statistics show June IS the most popular month to be married, 
followed by August, September and October!
Here is a beautiful Autumn Wedding card to be cherished!


Before the front frame is added to the card. GLITZ 6x6 Paper Pad French Kiss adhered to base card. Gate, pillars bride & groom adhered to thin chipboard and fussy cut. Gate attached with foam dots to background. The bride and groom are attached to a transparency from the Glitz Transparency Pack Happy Travels.

Altered Pages Monday!!! Playing with Paper!

I LOVE working with small paper pads!  Altered Pages had plenty of them!!  You will find Graphic 45, Bazzill and Glitz papers and more at Altered Pages.  The papers are the perfect size for working on A2 cards (4 1/4 x 5 1/2 folded size).

Graphic 45 Steampunk Spells was used to create this banner card.  The papers in each pad are color coordinated, making it easy to layer papers without having to search for colored that go together.

If you have a lot of paper scraps from one of your paper pads, you may want the think twice before  throwing them out.  This is a quick and easy way to use up some of your scraps, make a banner card!!!  Cut paper with paper cutter and scissors. EASY!  Attach with adhesive!

Alice in a Tin!!

Halloween in Wonderland Tags from Graphic 45 were used to create this "Alice in a Tin" along with a few items from The Mailbox Muse Kit "Alice's Utterly Mad Party"

The tin is colored with alcohol ink.

Altered Pages Monday ~ Playing in my Journal

Having fun in my journal almost forgot this needed to get posted!!!!  It is so much jun adding layer after layer... it is hard to stop!!!

Faber Castell Gellatos
(Chocolate, Silver and Grape)
Faber Castell Artist Pen Big Brush Black
Wink of Stella - Gold Yellow
Andy Skinner Skullduggery Stencil
TCW Gears Stencil
Mist Coppery
Ink pad Black
Cosmetic sponge

First scribble the Faber Castell Gellatos (Chocolate, Silver and Grape) on the journal page.  With a paint brush and water blend them on the page. Let dry, if you are in a hurry you can use a heat gun to dry it.

Position the Andy Skinner Skullduggery Stencil and trace the stencil with the Faber Castell Artist Pen Big Brush.

 Then position the TCW Gears Stencil and spritz with Mist - Coppery, be careful not to over spray or it will bleed beneath the stencil. Let dry, again if you are in a hurry you can use a heat gun to dry it. Clean the TCW Gears Stencil. With a black ink and cosmetic sponge use the stencil to give the gears more definition.  

Finally add a little Wink of Stella - Gold Yellow to give the skull a little more depth.  

I am really happy with how this turned out!!!

Trick or Treat!

Halloween is one of my favorite times of the year.  It is a season where there isn't a big dinner to prepare, there is lots of candy and you can be a child again for a few hours when dressing up in costume!  I love handing out candy in costume to all the little ghosts and goblins!

This month The Robin's Nest has its Halloween papers on sale at 20% off.  Be sure to do your shopping early to give you plenty of time to make your Halloween treat bags, party favors or Halloween decorations. 

Today I have a cute Trick or Treat Shadow Box using The Robin's Nest papers, cute Halloween Ghost and Bat Embellishments, Black Dew Drops , Connie Crystal beautiful crystals add and bite of sparkle.

Cut papers to fit the shadow box.

All of these wonderful papers are on sale this month!!!

Spray paint the white shadow box with a flat black paint. 

Adhere the papers to each of the boxes and add all your spooky treasures! In the large box in the lower right corner are alternating Black Dew Drops and Black Diamond Dew Drops on the borders tiny rusty ivy, and a vintage three prong fork with a little owl bead.  The Robin's Nest Little Friends Snow Angel in the upper right corner (with wings folded back)!
