ATC Day 11! LeighSBDesigns Kitty Luna out for crispy morning Christmas stroll!

Kitty Luna is colored with Prismacolor Pencils.  Layered on scraps of paper, dies are from Tim Holtz Holiday Greens Mini collection. The dies were covered with Wink of Stella and them a little Diamond Dust for little frosty look!

Day six ATC, "The Christmas Baking Team!"

Gingerbread house Prima, Santa Baby paper, Wink of Stella finished the house snow.

Thinking of You!

This week one of my a co-workers requested a card for a woman who recently retired from our group.  She isn't doing well and she wanted her to know we were all thinking of her.  Everyone will be signing it and soon she will receive it in the mail!

 This card class is crammed full of techniques. Learn new ways to use products you may already own and how to use new products. You will learn to enamel chipboard with ink and embossing powder, create awesome backgrounds with new BoBunny Glimmer Spray and Pearl Pens, enhance cards with Wink of Stella and add color to Petaloo Paintable Flowers painted with Kaisermists. You will leave with four awesome cards!

 

Class will be on Saturday, April 30th at 1:00 and go until 3:30/4:00- cost will be $19.99 and we only have 10 spots so sign up early!

Santa Tin on the Unruly PaperArts Blog!

Merry Christmas!!

 

My last post over at Unruly PaperArts is this cute Christmas tin.  Creating little scenes in tins is one of my favorites!  This is a tin the size of an Altoid tin... you can alter a tin, if you don't have one you can purchase blank tins (hinged or not)!  What is so fun about making these is the surprise on a persons face when they open them!

Supplies:

Tins at Altered Pages

Altered Pages Cyrillic Christmas collage sheet

Wink of Stella

Flower Soft

Small Tree

BoBunny Snow Flake

Tim Holtz Star

Pattern Paper

Enamel Dots

Trims

Tacky Glue

Glue Stick

 

If you use a tin that you have removed the paint from it is a good idea to give a quick coat of gesso. If you are using a brand new smooth finish tin use a little sand paper to create a few abrasions for the glue to stick to!  

 

 

 

Cut the image for the top and bottom ( pattern paper) of the outside of the tin a bit larger than the tin. Adhere to the tin with glue stick  Use an old emery board to sand the edges down.  This gives the outside a perfect fit!

 

 

Add little Wink of Stella to the candles, Enamel Dots for Christmas ornaments and a star to top off the tree!

 

Add trims to the outside using a Tacky Glue or E6000, find trims that will fit the sides to give the most coverage with out interfering with the opening and closing of the tin.

 

 

Cut the image for the inside of the tin as close as possible to the size of the inside, adhere with glue stick.  Add a few sparkling highlights to the images with the Wink of Stella.  Adhere white Flower Soft to image for the wonderful feeling of cold winter snow with Tacky Glue! 

 

Add a small tree and snowflake to embellish!

12 Days of Christmas - Day 11

 

Unruly PaperArts is sponsoring a 12 Days of Christmas Link-up Party.  I am having so much fun making Christmas Cards this year!  Today I am sharing a few more of the cards from the Quick Quotes class I attended recently!

 

 

When I went to class I took my Wink of Stella and Dew Drops!!! 

 

I got a little behind in class... this set I finished at home this week!

 

 No card is finished with out a little bit of bling. (Dew Drops)

 

 

I love layering papers and colors...

 

 

On my cards I added the darker blue panel. 

 

 

If you look closely you can see the shimmer from the Wink of Stella!

 

 

I never follow directions. 

On these I knotted the ribbon in the corner. 

I was supposed to wrap it around the white panel... OPPS!

A special card and cake!

A Very HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!

I made this cute Mock Cake for Jean over at Altered Pages for her birthday~

 

 

 

 

 

 

Altered Pages is partnering with Pan Pastels this month....  

The card was created using PanPastels for the background and Graphic 45 Bohemian Bazaar 8x8 pad.

The Pan Pastel colors are perfect with the Graphic 45 Paper!!!

 

MOCK CAKE with Burning Candle - created using ATB Wood Block, Art-Anthology Acrylic Paint, Altered Pages Collage Images from Cocktail Party and Dancing Shoes  

 

If you look closely you will see a bit of shimmer on the candles (Wink of Stella).  The block and ladies dancing were misted with Shimmer Spritz!
