DAY 26 - Boil and Bubble, Toil and Trouble

Image is from the DIY Design Studio digital collage sheet Frightful Night.  It is one of the sheet sheets they have from my postcard collection! The image is framed with purple cardstock on a black mat.  Cute pumpkin washi tape is on the bottom border. 

The tulle was once carefully burned with the heat gun!  Love the little pumpkin in the corner of the postcard. The top right has a glitter bat from the Elizabeth Craft Designs die Cemetery Scene.

DAY 22 - Shadows with a hint of Poe

The main image is from a digital collage sheet 523 Spirits and Seance from DIY Design Studio.  The Haunted Mansion ticket (distressed with Oxide Ink) is apart of the Echo Park Chillingsworth Manor paper pack. Background paper is Authentique Nightfall.   

Sentiment is from an Art C stamp set that I have had a while.    

The Raven is from Little B (no longer available)... I have a small stash of them!  Below him is a portion of a page from NEVERMORE, distressed with Tim Holtz Oxide Inks.

For this card the tulle was burnt with a heat gun to krinkle it up.  Love the effect!

Colorizing Black and White Images

Have you seen black and white photos colorized.  I decided to add color to these B&W images on ATC's.  The Altered Pages Beauties Collage sheet is printed on a transparency.  Did you know that you can order the collage sheets at Altered Pages and have them emailed to you! Reprint as often as you wish. .  

Supplies:

Altered Pages Beauties Collage Sheet

Large Tag 

Luster Rub

Gold Paint

Adhesive

Flowers

Foil Heart

Large Rhinestone

To start I cut 3 ATCs from one of the Large Tags, ATCs measure 3 1/2 x 2 1/2 inches.  Next ic cut three images from the Altered Pages Beauties Collage Sheet.

Using the Luster Rub I added color to the ATC, trying to get most of it in places that would add color to the images.  To do this you can use any medium like: Gelatos, paint, inks and watercolor pencils.

With Adhesive adhere the images to the cards.

With Gold Paint create frames around the edges of the ATCs!

Add embellishments like: Flowers, Foil Heart and Large Rhinestone!

Stencils of Paris!

Having fun with stencils.  The more the better.  Love all the layers!  The large tags make great embellishments for gift bags.

Supplies:
Collage sheet Transparency Beauties
Large Tag
Feathers Stencil 
Carte Postale Stencil
Art Expression Stencil
Mist 
Ink
Metallic Luster Rub
German foil - Heart and Tassels
Flowers
Sheet Music scrap
Lace & Ribbon
Tacky Glue

 

On Large Tag lay the Art Expression Stencil spray Mist, let dry.

Place the Feathers Stencil  over the Art Expression Stencil on the Large Tag use Metallic Luster Rub to add a feather to the tag!

From Collage sheet Transparency Beauties cut image of one of the beauties. 

From the Carte Postale Stencil randomly add Paris images to the tag with ink.

Attach German foil - Heart and Tassels with Tacky Glue.

Add Lace and Flowers to the bottom of the tag with Tacky Glue.

Attach a bit of Sheet Music scrap with Tacky Glue  to the top the tag.  Finally, add Ribbons!

THE KISS

Valentines Day is coming and it is all about
love, hearts and KISSES!  This card is one of my RED posts over on the Altered Pages blog!

Supplies:
Just a Kiss - Altered Pages Collage sheet
Flowers
Black Trim
Prima Pad 6x6
Doily
Large Rhinestone LOVE
Card Base
Cardstock - Black
Brown Ink
Tacky Glue
Glue stick
Double sided tape
Foam Mounting Squares

 

Cut mat for card from Prima 6x6 paper pad, with Brown Ink edge the mat, attach to card with Double sided tape.  Attach doily with Glue stick. Adhere the Just a Kiss  image to black cardstock with  Glue stick, with  Foam Mounting Squares attach to card.

 

Tie Black Trim around the left side of the card.  Adhere Flowers with Tacky Glue.  Add the Large Rhinestone - LOVE. 

 

AND THAT IS A KISS!

 

Paris the City of LOVE!

  The city of LOVE, a perfect place for a little romance.  

Supplies:
Altered Pages Collage Sheet Young Lovers
Altered Pages Vintage Paris image
Prima 6x6 paper pad
Brown Ink
Card Base
Cardstock
Glue stick
Double sided tape
Foam Mounting Squares
Wink of Stella
Tacky Glue
Little Birdie Flowers
Heart Pins
German Foil/Scrap Heart
Ribbon

Cut mat for card from Prima 6x6 paper pad, with Brown Ink edge the mat, attach to card with Double sided tape.  Adhere the Young Lovers image to card stock with  Glue stick and fussy cut.

With Brown Ink edge the vintage Paris Postcard, attach to card with Double sided tape.  Attach the Young Lovers with Foam Mounting Squares.

Paint her dress with Wink of Stella to add a bit of sparkle to the lovers!

In the lowers right with Tacky Glue attach Little Birdie Flowers, Heart Pins, German Foil Hearts and Ribbon bow.

Paint the Eiffel Tower with Wink of Stella. 

Here it is LOVE IN PARIS!
