I am so excited to be on the Blank Page Muse Design Team! I fell in love with the two Words by Jane stamp plates, inspired by the works of Jane Austen. My plan for this and my next few posts it to do a series of Jane projects!
Today I have a Jane Austen inspired tag.Ahere text from old book “Pride
& Prejudice” to tag with gel gloss medium. Remove excess paper around the
edges of the tag. Ink edges of the tag with Tim Holtz Distress
Oxide Ink Gathered Twigs or similar color.
Use the Blank Page Muse – Butterflies
and Flowers Layering Mixed Media Stencil (BPMSTbflower) to add butterflies to
the tag with Chalk Paste – Desert Rose, on the right side of the tag. Then on the left stencil hatch marks using
the TCW554 Butterfly Collage - 6x6 Stencil with the chalk paste. Set aside to dry.
With VersaFine black ink stamp the
Blank Page Muse - Jane and Sentiment – “It isn’t what you say…” from Words by
Jane Man & Woman Figures Sentiments Rubber Art Stamp Sheet (SC201). Heat emboss both images with clear embossing powder. With Studio Light Watercolor Markers (or
desired markers) color Jane image. Fussy
cut Jane.
Add lace about a ¼ inch from the bottom
of the tag. With dimensional foam attach sentiment as pictured. Cut the
sentiment to desired size, edge with Tim Holtz Distress Oxide Ink Gathered
Twigs or similar color. With dimensional
foam attach the image of Jane just above the sentiment. Randomly attach the
gems. To finish the tag, add ribbons.
