Finished Paris Book

Finally my finished Paris Chipboard Album
with
and MORE!

Cover with ribbons!

Back side of page with laser Eiffel Tower.  Before I attached the Eiffel Tower to the front side of the page I used it as a stencil on the back.  Painted the page pink, then with the laser image on the surface, rubbed ink over it. Then adhered paper to the page that was torn ti outline the shape of the Eiffel tower. Sealed the page with Sakura 3D Crystal Lacquer and Terri Sproul Mixer - Pink Saphire. BlingMaquis Silver Rhinestone Design from Want2Scrap. On the opposite page I adhered images from Retro Cafe Art with Sakura 3D Crystal Lacquer. Embellished with an altered bottle cap with an image of Paris and a few Robin's Nest Dew Drops.

Last page of the book... laser cut "PARIS" & Eiffel Tower with Want2Scrap bling swirls cut from Jumbo Flower! Added a bit of Sakura 3D Crystal Lacquer with Terri Sproul Mixer - Pink Saphire.

One more look at the finished book!

AMAZING Delight Moulding Compound!!!

One of my favorite modeling compounds to work with is air drying DELIGHT™!  With Delight™ you can create numerous lightweight paper embellishments that can be used on cards or altered projects.  It's very easy.

Delight™ is ready to use, all you have to do is open the package and press the paper clay in your mold and let it dry!!!!  Be sure to give it a good pressing, you want it to get into every crevasse of the mold.  Set your filled molds aside to dry.  If the mold is deep leave it over night.

Molds can be made from molding compound, but making molds is not really necessary.  You may have items gathering dust that would make great molds.  If you are like me you have some past passions with ready made molds like: candy molds, soap molds, candle molds, cookie cutters or any other craft mold.  If you don't have any of these at home you should be able to find them at your local thrift store.

The project I am sharing today is made using a small pumpkin cookie cutter.  Press the Delight™ paper clay onto a glass working surface and cut out the pumpkins, just like cookies.  Making sure to have  a clean cut with each one.  Don’t roll out the paper clay if you want a surface that isn’t perfect.
Before the pumpkins start drying create vertical lines with a tooth pick on each pumpkin, again they aren’t perfect.  Leave them on the glass surface and set  aside to air dry overnight.

Paint the pumpkins with orange and brown acrylic paint.

Paint one color and let it set for a few minutes before adding the second to keep the two  from mixing.

Let the paint dry a couple of hours.

When the paint is dry with COPICs and a Blender Pen add color to the pumpkins. Colors used here: reds, browns and yellows.

Using a Gold Gel Pen add highlights to the stems.

Now the pumpkins are ready to be used as embellishments.

Supplies for the pumpkins:
Mold or cookie cutter
Toothpick
Paint
Paint Brushes
Copics
Gel pen

Stamp Viva Las VegaStamps - Cat & Bat Jack o' Lantern on white cardstock three times with black ink. Cut bats out of stamped images and cover with Black Stickles.  Set aside to dry.  With VLVS Miracle Tape adhere torn black panel to card base.  Cut strips of crepe paper about 2 inches wider than the pattern paper panel using Fiskars Paper Edgers (Grass); adhere with VLVS Miracle Tape alternating black, orange and black crepe paper wrapping it around the back of the pattern paper panel.  Tie the orange ribbon to paper clip and attach.   Punch moon from yellow paper and attach to panel, then adhere the panel to the card. When bats are dry adhere with foam dots.  Finally, using VLVS Miracle Tape add the paper clay Pumpkins made with Delight™ and spritz card with Tsukineko Shimmer Mist - Frost.
