Relatively Thoughtful -Walter Crane - In the Garden

The Walter Crane collection has a sheet of arch images with women and flowers. I have cut along the arch line of each one and created three dimensional toppers that can be put on cards as the need arises. The toppers are ready to make cards for any occasion.

Card Chain Challenge August 2024

This is my first time participating in the monthly Card Chain Challenge.  People participate from all around the world.  I am really excited to see what I will receive this month.  This is the card I sent to Hillary in England, hopefully it makes it to its intended recipient before the end of the month. 

Update: Hillary received her card in record time!  It took 10 days!

Colors included bubblegum background mat, apricot decorative border and lime background label. Friendship sentiment.  I loosely followed the August Sketch. You can see the sketch HERE!

 

Relatively Thougthful Walter Crane in the Garden

Daisies are a symbol of purity and innocence. They signify renewal and hope and represent happiness and true love. They are often given to celebrate new beginnings. The Walter Crane Daisies are beautiful and would be great on any card celebrating a new beginning.

Relatively Thoughtful Water Crane - In the Garden

Relatively Thoughtful's Walter Crane In the Garden is a lovely collection. The papers are great for many occasions: Birthday get well, sympathy, hello and just a note. I have been sorting, cleaning and purging my stash. I came across some acetate and remembered some old card techniques from the past. Today, I have a card with Acetate bridging the top and bottom strips of pattern paper. Don’t forget techniques from the past; sometimes, old is new again. Happy Crafting.
