Dia de Los Muertos

I will be sharing this card on the Altered Pages blog with the  Design Team for Dia De Los Muertos.   Thought I would let you all know Altered Pages has some wonderful collage sheets for Day of the Dead.

When you order the collage sheets you are sent the file via email and you save it to your computer.  The beauty of it is... you can print your images over and over and over again.

Supplies:
Chipboard
Black Cardstock
Card Base
Black Marker

Cut skull images from Altered Pages Day of the Dead Collage Sheet.  Adhere the skulls to a thin piece of chipboard with Glue Stick and fussy cut.

With a black marker line the edges of the skulls so all white edges and chipboard are covered.  Adhere Dew Drops with Tacky Glue to the images.

Adhere colorful Flowers to the back of the skulls with Tacky Glue.

With Double Sided Tape adhere black cardstock mat to the card base, cut mat from Sabor Paper - Corazon, adhere to card.

Assemble card: with Tacky Glue attach black Bazzill Borders, then the "Te AMO" doves from the Sabor Cut-outs.

Mat the "Dia de Los Muertos" banner on black cardstock and adhere with Glue Stick.

Attach skulls with 3D Mounting Squares.  Add additional Sabor Cut-outs as desired.

A Sabor Shoe!!!

I have to say I am having a great time working with the SABOR Papers this month!   I know if you had the papers on your table you would be too... the vibrant colors of the papers just yell out to me... create, craft, make something!!!  I have been a crafting fiend this month and it is only the 13th!  Hope you are enjoying all the projects from the ALTERED PAGES team!!!

If the shoe fits....
Then it must be SABOR!

"Mule, a French word, is a style of shoe that is backless and often closed-toed. Mules can be any heel height - from flat to high. The style is predominantly (but not exclusively) worn by women."  ~From Wikepedia

I was looking through a few on my templates and found this "Mule Shoe" that I had downloaded from Stampington in 2009!!!!  When I saw it shouted SABOR!

Supplies:
Sabor scraps
Bazzil-Flower Pink
Tacky Glue
Dew Drops
Glue Stick
Foam Dimensional Adhesives
Black Ink
Alphabet letter stamps
Heart Charm

Enlarge the template to the size you would like the shoe to be, lay on the SABOR SORPRESSA Cardstock and cut out the shoe.  Score on the dotted lines shown on the pattern, this will form the toe of the shoe!

SABOR AMOR  Heart Cutout use Tacky Glue  to add a heart charm to the center, then add Dew Drops to the flowers surrounding the hearts, set aside to dry!

On scraps of Sabor paper Black Ink and alphabet letter stamps, stamp "if the shoe fits".
Now you have all your parts, the shoe, heart, flower (folded in half) and sentiment.  Assemble the shoe, cut the word apart and layer on another scrap of Sabor paper, attach with Glue Stick.  Use Tacky Glue to attach the Bazzil-Flower folded in half.  Apply two layers of Foam Dimensional Adhesives to the back of the SABOR AMOR  Heart Cutout  and adhere on top of the flower.

HERE IS THE FINISHED SHOE!!!
