CHA 2016 ~ Crafter's Companion - Downton Abby

A Two Bike Carousel!

 Valentines is just around the corner. 

 

 I have created a Carousel for Two...

 

that is TWO BIKES!

I LOVE Simple Valentines!!!

Valentines is a time when we trade a ton of cards.  Kids love making them... I thought I would share how to make a simple ones that can bee made in a matter of minutes!!!  There is a wonderful selection of Valentine collages HERE at Altered Pages. You can purchase them digitally and print them over and over again!

The Glitz Black & White  paper pad and Giant Rhinestones are great for creating Valentines! 

Supplies:
Glitz Giant Rhinestones
Valentine Pattern paper
Red Card Stock
Memento Lux Rhubarb Stalk Red
A2 Cards
Glue Stick
Double Stick Tape
Adhesive Dimensionals
Doily
Large Background stamp

Cut the red card stock slightly smaller then the base card.  Using a large background stamp, stamp with Memento Lux Rhubarb Stalk Red.  The background pattern is subtle stamping red on red!

Cut pieces of Valentine paper and layer with Double Stick Tape. Adhere to the card layering with doily. Adhere doily with Glue Stick!  Layer the images on a piece of pattern paper and adhere to card.  Several of the images where attached with Adhesive Dimensionals.

 Add Giant Rhinestones!!!

If you have a long list of Valentines these are quick and easy... you could have them finished in no time!

Are you ready for Valentines DAY?

Can you believe we are in the 2016!  I can remember like it was yesterday that I was at CHA!!!  I am packing my bags to go again in just a few days!!!  Where did 2015 go?  I am not complaining, I had a great year, they just seem fly by too fast!

This month  at Altered Pages is all about SWEET, LOVE and anything Valentine!!!   Altered Pages has a great selection of collage sheet images for Valentines! 

I have a precious tag I created on a tag from the Tag Book available at Altered Pages.  I want to create tags each month in 2016 and finish it off in December.  Let's get started!

 

 

Use a tag from the Tag Book and paint about 1/4 of the top of the tag.  With brown ink distress the paint and edges of the tag.

 

Measure pattern paper from the Glitz Pack Laced with Grace paper pack to fit the tag. tear the top of the paper exposing about one inch of the tag to expose the painted portion.  

 

Cut a piece of Pure Silk Pink Ribbon, place it between the tag and pattern paper when you attaching the pattern paper with Glue Stick.  Distress the edges of the pattern paper with brown ink.  

 

Adhere doilies to the tag using the Glue Stick, attach Bazill Mini Border - White with Tacky Glue.  

 

With Glue Stick adhere image from the Not a Red Valentine Collage Sheet to a thin piece of chipboard (like a cereal box).  Fussy cut the image and adhere to the tag with Adhesive Dimensionals, while at the same time tucking some tulle under it!

 

 

Tie a bow with the Pure Silk Pink Ribbon, add  Petaloo Flowers, adhere Pink Ball Fringe Baby Size with Tacky Glue to the bottom of the tag. 

 

A Glitz Giant Rhinestone is tucked under the tulle and a hat pin is tucked into the tulle behind the image.
