Doors of the Past Part 4 of 4

Final doors of the year!

“Forgiveness is the key that unlocks the door of resentment and the handcuffs of hate. It is a power that breaks the chains of bitterness and the shackles of selfishness.”

~William Arthur Ward

"If opportunity doesn’t knock, build a door."

~Milton Berle

I hope new doors open for you this NEW YEAR
If you are happy where you are I hope your door remains open!

More DOORS!

"Don’t ever slam a door; you might want to go back."

~ Don Herold

"All day long the door of the subconscious remains just ajar: we slip through to the other side, and return again, as easily and secretly as a cat."

~Walter de La Mare

"We Keep moving forward, opening new doors, and doing new things, because we’re curious and curiosity keeps leading us down new paths."

Doors of the Past Part 2 of 4

More doors from my 2010 archives...
The Lockless Door
by Robert Frost
It went many years,
But at last came a knock,
And I though of the door
With no lock to lock.

I blew out the light,
I tip-toed the floor,
And raised both hands
In prayer to the door.

But the knock came again.
My window was wide;
I climbed on the sill
And descended outside.

Back over the sill
I bade a 'Come in'
To whatever the knock
At the door may have been.

So at a knock
I emptied my cage
To hide in the world
And alter with age.

Sad doors of the past!

"Life is full of doors that don’t open when you knock, equally spaced amid those that open when you don’t want them to."

~Roger Zelazny

Doors of the Past Part 1 of 4

This year I took several picture of doors I will be sharing over the next few days.

"When one door of happiness closes, another opens; but often we look so long at the closed door that we do not see the one which has been opened for us."
~ Helen Keller

Here are a few doors closed many years ago...
I wonder who may have passed through them

Did they ever find the open door?
So many doors...
What stories are behind them?
