Saturday I spent hours in bead dreamland!  Most people go out of town over a three day weekend.  We usually stick close to home!  So I took a drive to my local bead store to visit with Beth Shea and Pixie!  There is so much to see in the store.  You will find a lot of pictures here that just give you a glimpse of all there is to see.  ENJOY!

Old Scrapbook!!

First, if you know me... my father-in-law is my shopping partner.  We go out shopping in antique stores at least every other week... or thrift stores, then there have been times you might find us at the Good Will.

This past weekend we went to unique store,  Judy's Junk & Java, located at 3656 NW Munson Rd Silverdale, WA 98383.  There you can buy a cup of "JAVA", then peruse the antiques in the store.

While looking around with coffee in hand I came across this scrapbook.  I sat for the remainder of my visit and looked through all the wonderful pages of the book.
It is a book from 1946, here are a few of the pages, starting with the birth of their baby boy!
 First Christmas!
First Birthday...
Valentines
It has been a joy to look at each and every card... there are over 100 in the book!  WHAT A FIND!

Cello Bags - Best Value!

Last weekend I took over 100 cards that I had stashed in boxes to a street fair to sell.  To protect my treasures I wanted to put them in cello bags.  If I didn't, I knew the customers handling them would unintentionally stain the with finger prints, bend the corners or the embellishments would be knocked off.  I searched online for cello bags.  They are out there and many companies sell them in large lots of 1,000!!!  Way too many for a little time card maker like me.  I finally came across a site that sells them in lots of 100.  I may have not gotten as much for my money, but for what 1,000 of one size would cost me I was able to buy several sizes for the same price.  It would have cost me almost $150 to buy four sizes in lots of 1,000!!!! YIKES... what would I have done with all the bags.  Now if you have a reason to buy in lots of 1,000 there is value for you.

Saw this bike in Port Townsend last weekend I couldn't pass  up the photo op!
I am planning on making gifts with all the Scrabble pieces!
Some times I buy bags of broken Jewelry.... I love the cameo and Jacks that I got this time!

Shopping this Weekend

Wow! Did I ever find a ton of great lace and a deal on a few small jars of buttons!!!! I have so much fun checking out the stores... no matter how many times we visit the same stores there is always something new. There are about 10 stores we visit on a rotation... it takes us around a month to make the rounds. By the time get back to anyone of them vendors have had a chance to replenish their goods.
