Valentines Day ~ Small Canvas

LOVE IS IN THE AIR....

Here is a canvas I created this week for AlteredPages.com

With Valentines just around the corner... a small Valentine canvas would look great on my desk!

Supplies
Altered Pages Collage sheet : Always in Love
Small Canvas or Art Board
Chalk Paint - Timeless
Chalk Paint - Rouge
Gel medium
Cherry Mist
Black ink
Ruby Red Glitter
Flowers
Glue

Start off with a blank canvas and paint it with Chalk Paint - Timeless and Chalk Paint - Rouge

While the canvas is drying fussy cut image from Altered Pages Collage sheet : Always in Love

With gel medium adhere small doily, then spritz with Cherry Mist, let dry.

Adhere fussy cut image with gel medium, let dry. Then with Black ink  on finger  go around the edge of the canvas to frame it.

Add just a touch of glitter with glue to the corners and adhere flowers!

Love the vintage look of the canvas.

Playing with Chalk Paints

Made this for Altered Pages today!!!  I have been playing with Black Chalk Paint and Steampunk Gelatos & Metallic  Gelatos on an Echo Art Board ATC.  Taking photos was very tricky... depending on the direction of the picture the flash picked up different hues of the Gelatos!

Pirates Gold Embossing Powder

Dew Drop

Gel Xtreme Gold Pen
Tacky Glue

Paint Echo Art Board ATC with Black Chalk Paint, let dry.

Using Versa Color Black Ink stamp the dry ATC with Mailbox Muse - The Big Easy Mardi Gras stamps.

 

Heat  Pirates Gold Embossing Powder  on the ATC... it is perfect for the black ATC.   

Rub small amounts of Gelatos on craft mat, dilute with water.  On a scrap paper painted with the Black Chalk Paint test how Gelatos will look when dry.

Paint ATC with Gelatos using Waterbrush, allowing to dry between colors. 

Let the ATC dry! Add a Dew Drop with Tacky Glue. Cut a bit Gold Opulence and adhere to the corner of the ATC.

 

With Gel Xtreme Gold Pen add decorative border, also on the side of the Echo Art Board ATC.

 

 FINISHED!!!
