Meri Mermaid is a bit shy today!

You can find the NEW MERMAID and sea friends HERE!

The background was created with a wave stencil, VersaMark and clear embossing powder.  After heating the embossing powder alcohol inks were applied.

Dancing Ballerina!

I have been stamping since Before Stamping was ever a craze.  I know good stamps when I see them... in the Silhouette of the Ballerina with Stars the  stars stamp perfectly every time.  Isn't she a beauty!

Supplies:Lost Coast Designs Ballerina with Stars
Acrylic Block
Pattern Paper
Black Ink
Embossing Powder Black
Glue Stick
Double Sided Tape
Card Base & Mat - Cardstock
Flowers
Gold Border Design
Metallic Luster Wax

I am using the unmounted Ballerina with Stars from  Lost Coast Designs stamps this today. I used Double Sided Tape to attach her to my Acrylic Block!  Stamp the Ballerina with Black Ink and heat embossed with Embossing Powder Black

Adhere the stamped image to mat cardstock with Glue Stick.  Attach to the card with Double Sided Tape. Add a Gold Border Design so it doesn't look like she is dancing on air!

To give the Ballerina a little dimension add a slight shadow around her with Metallic Luster Wax.

Glue a few coordinating flowers to the card... it looks like the ballerina is dancing behind them!

Be sure to stop by each day for more inspiration using Lost Coast Design stamps!

Dixie Belle... Window of Paris!

Last weekend I went to a crop at the Scrapbook Zone.  I took my Dixie Belle Paint - Buttercream and Dixie Belle Van Dyke Glaze, they came in handy when I saw this bare window frame sitting on the counter!  I just could not resist using them.  I shared this on the Altered Pages blog this week!

If you know my art, you know I love PARIS!

The Window Shadow Frame is pencil thin.  I painted the bare  frame with 2 coats of  Dixie Belle Paint - Buttercream

Arrange charms, chipboard and wood pieces in the frame.

Once the frame was dry apply Dixie Belle Van Dyke Brown Glaze to distress the frame.

Apply pattern paper to the back board of the window with glue stick.  With tacky glue attach the frame of the to the backboard the paper has been glued to!  Use clothes pins to hold in place until dry!

While the glue dries, ink and heat emboss wood crown and fluer de lis with Pirate Black Embossing Powder!

Assemble items using tacky glue!

The flowers are Petaloo Paintables, I used spray mist to color the white flowers the perfect pink!

Attach items inside each frame and to the frame!

Add Dew Drops and flowers and other embellishments to cover holes on charms!
