My Punk-olator in "Just Steampunk Vol. 3"!

I  received my copy of "Just Steampunk Vol. 3" this weekend.  I was so excited to see all the projects that I submitted made it in the magazine.  Besides the Punk-olator pictured below; there were rings, necklaces and button fairies!

 

I was really happy with the page (71) they dedicated to my Punk-olator!   The base is an old party size percolator that was destined for the garbage dump!!!

It took hours to layer all the gears, locking washers, charms, Dew Drops,  keys, pen nibs, horse nails and found items. Everything was attached with E6000.

The bird was very blue before I painted him copper. He has been altered with paint, a few gears, watch parts and Robin's Nest Dew Drops add a touch of color.

I submitted my assemblage back in August... I had no idea if the magazine was publishing it or not... then a fellow artist, Terri Sproul, received her copy of the magazine... she has a 2 page layout!!!!  How awesome is that! Well, I submitted three items and one got picked up for this publication... keep my fingers crossed an maybe the others will be in a later publication!

If you love Steampunk you will want to add this publication to your collection... It is full of ideas!!!!

"Five stamped images are from the Viva Las VegaStamps! Steampunk collection:  Flying Man, Balloon Lady, Ferris Wheel, Horse and Victorian Balloon.   If you look closely you can see the Flying Man and Victorian Balloon are attached by wire that spans the assemblage. Stamped images are stamped on card stock, except the Ferris Wheel which is stamped on a transparency and heat embossed."

WOW I am in "The Best of Stampington & CO HandCrafted"

When I got home today a copy of  "The Best of Stampington & CO HandCrafted" was waiting for me in the stack of mail.... I was surprised to see it.  It had been a while since I had submitted something for publication.   The notice was there right on top.

Stampers' Sampler

I JUST RECEIVED MY FREE COPY in the mail today!!!  In the Dec/Jan issue of "Stampers' Sampler" my house (above) made from the template in the June/July issue was in an article along with a few of my online friends on page 78... I am honored to be in the company of Kris and Louise!  

All the papers I used are from one of my favorite mfgs Rusty Pickle!
