Sunflower Card

I love sunflowers, the Blank Page Muse FALLHARVEST Junk Journal Papercrafts Digital Papers are full of sunflowers and pumpkins!  This collection of digital papers are beautiful Fall colors.  Great for card making and scrapbooking. To create the card today the images were resized digitally a couple of times.

Tim Holtz Distress Gathered Twigs ink

Lunar Paste Refined Copper
Spatula
Tim Holtz Distress Oxide Spray Gathered Twigs
Cosmic Shimmer Airless Spray Meadow Moss
Master Board made with scrap paper on Watercolor paper
Thanks Die
Sunflower leaf die
Gems
Paper lace sticker

Create a master board. Use watercolor paper or other mixed media paper for the base.  Glue scraps of paper to the base.  Be sure all edges are secure. Then spray with Tim Holtz Distress Oxide Spray Gathered Twigs and Cosmic Shimmer Airless Spray Meadow Moss.

When the spray is dry stencil with the Leaves Collage from Blank Page Muse. The stenciling is done with Lunar Paste Refined Copper on the master board.

I got out a couple of dies and my mini scout die cutting machine.

Die cut Thanks! The thanks were cut from one of the digital pumpkins, then layered on a brown cardstock shadow.

I die cut leaf and from a couple of the tags from the digital collection.

Fussy cut images you decide to use. I like to cut too many pieces than not enough for a card then I have choices. Once I start fussy cutting I cannot stop.

After all the images are fussy cut, distress with Tim Holtz Distress Oxide Spray Gathered Twigs, then you are ready to adhere images.   Even embellish the inside of the card too.

A fussy cut large sunflower and pumpkin with a couple of die cut leaves are inside this card.

On the front of the card there is a fussy cut tag at the bottom of the card. At the bottom of the card, I added a strip of adhesive paper lace.  A dress was adhered with dimensional foam. The dress is surrounded by a couple of pumpkins, three different sizes of sunflowers, and a die cut leaf. Then the thanks was added to the front of the dress.

Finally, a few gems were randomly glued for a little bling!
Hope you enjoyed this card.

Fall Foundations Decor!

Are ready for Fall.... the cool weather... changing colors?

Foundations Décor Fall and Holiday products are available at Altered Pages!!  The high quality products are great to work with!

Today I created this pumpkin beauty!

Supplies:

The kit comes with three pieces of pieces!

Paint the three pieces with Dixie Belle Paint - Flamingo, let dry.

Once dry, lightly paint with Dixie Belle - Glaze Van Dyke, let dry.

With Glue Stick cover the leaf with a green pattern paper, cover the oval with a coordinating pattern paper. Sand edges to get a smooth edge.

The Pretty Buttons collection is perfect for the pumpkin!

Be sure all pieces are dry.  Once they are dry adhere the center piece of the pumpkin and the leaf with  Tacky Glue.

Love this for one of my pieces this year for Fall!

Pumpkin with Prima!

Create the pumpkin with a paperback book and Prima flowers!!!

I LOVE all the Prima flowers here!

Plan at least a couple of nights to create this pumpkin!

Supplies:
Old book
Cutting tools Craft Knife
Ink Orange

Choose a paper back to cut... preferably one you have already read!!!  This book is 650 pages and took a lot longer to cut than I expected.  Remove the front and back cover.

Use the cover the create a template to use when cutting the book.  Gently with the craft knife cut through a few pages at a time.  Use the Kai Scissors to snip into the corners when they won't release from the book binding.

Ink the edges of the pages with orange Ink, optional ink each page (this will take sometime... my book was 650 pages and a lot of ink!)

When all the pages have been inked, glue several pages together at the front and back of the book with Tacky Glue.  Make sure to get the glue in the center of the pages to keep them from pulling out of the binding.  Let the pages dry.  Glue the front and back pages together and put under a heavy object to dry. (no photo).

Once the pages dried you are ready to decorate the pumpkin.

I got a twig out of the yard for a stem... added Prima leaves!

With Tacky glue adhere the flowers to the pumpkin.
