Fall Foundations Decor!

Are ready for Fall.... the cool weather... changing colors?

Foundations Décor Fall and Holiday products are available at Altered Pages!!  The high quality products are great to work with!

Today I created this pumpkin beauty!

Supplies:

The kit comes with three pieces of pieces!

Paint the three pieces with Dixie Belle Paint - Flamingo, let dry.

Once dry, lightly paint with Dixie Belle - Glaze Van Dyke, let dry.

With Glue Stick cover the leaf with a green pattern paper, cover the oval with a coordinating pattern paper. Sand edges to get a smooth edge.

The Pretty Buttons collection is perfect for the pumpkin!

Be sure all pieces are dry.  Once they are dry adhere the center piece of the pumpkin and the leaf with  Tacky Glue.

Love this for one of my pieces this year for Fall!

Pretty Posie

There are two sides to Foundations Décor products.  I love giving each side it own makeover!  Today I am sharing the backside of my Rustic Flowers.
For the Pretty Posies I used the Argyle Amber flowers available at Altered Pages.
Using the same Foundations Décor base as yesterday ~ just the other side! See how to prepare the Foundations Décor Flowers in Pot on the Altered Pages blog post  Rustic Flower Pot HERE!
On the back side of the Rustic Flower Pot, adhere a couple paper flowers that are a little larger than the Foundations Décor wood flowers. On the top of the pot add a bit of lace, washi tape or trim. Finish with a smaller paper flower.  Now you have Pretty Posies in a Pot!
The paper flowers show from the Rustic Flower Pot side adding a bit of dimension to the Rustic Flowers.

Now the Foundations Décor Pot can be used in several home décor arrangements during the year!

Pretty Posies - side two
Hope you are enjoying the project as much as we are!
Stop by for more inspiration tomorrow.

Pink Cake

In June Altered Pages partnered with Foundations Décor.  I wanted to share a few of my projects here that I created for them!  This cute little cake would look great holding a birthday picture.

This little wooden cake is one of the many Foundations Décor products available at Altered Pages!

Supplies
Foundations Décor Wood Cake Picture Holder
Dew Drops
Paint
Gesso
Glue

To start I painted all the pieces: the cake base & candle pink, the frosting trim with white gesso and the candle flame yellow. Then let dry.

Adhere pink dew drops to the cake frosting.
Glue the flame to the candle, add a golden brown dew drop to the base of the flame.
Glue pearl white dew drops to the base of he cake.

Once everything is dry assemble the cake.

I am loving the Foundations Décor products.
I hope to share the Sweet Heart Home soon.
Watch each day for more inspiration.

Home is where the heart is!!!

As promised yesterday, I said I would share the other side of HOME TWEET from Foundations Décor products.

I have added a clothespin to this side of the house to make it a bit more functional.

Supplies:
Foundations Décor Sweet Heart House
Dixie Belle Paint Butter Creamy
Dixie Belle Van Dyke Glaze
Sunshine in my Soul 8x8  Paper Pad
Adhesive - Glue
Charms and Dog from old Monopoly game
Flowers
Metallic Luster Wax
Clothes Pin
Chipboard
Image of door

I love working on both sides of my Foundations Décor products.  My project today is the backside of my HOME TWEET HOME (above) that was shared on the Altered Pages blog yesterday.  You can see how I painted the house and created it HERE on the blog!

First, all sides of the Foundations Décor Sweet Heart House were painted with Dixie Belle Paint Butter Creamy! Let it dry, then trace the house onto the Sunshine in my Soul 8x8  Paper Pad. Apply a thin layer of glue to the house, then carefully attach the paper.  Let dry!

Before attaching the roof to the front side I traced it onto chipboard, I wanted the house to have the same roof line on the back side. I painted the chipboard and a clothespin with Dixie Belle Paint Butter Creamy after they dried I paint then with Dixie Belle Van Dyke Glaze  removing the excess to get a distressed look.

The heart was painted  with Dixie Belle Paint Butter Creamy then distressed with  Metallic Luster Wax

I found an image of a door in my photos that was perfect for the house.  If you have been to Fort Worden you may recognize it.  The image was printed on copy paper and cut out.

Adhere the door, heart, roof, charm, flower and clothes pin with glue.
Add the final touches: the little key and dog a from an old Monopoly game!

I sure hope you have enjoyed the month with us!

Look for more projects using Foundations Décor products later this summer when we will be sharing some fun Fall projects.
