Happy Father's Day

A vintage postcard of a man fishing, at the bottom it says "at Redondo Pier".  This was a great image to work with.  

    

I fussy cut the fisherman and layered his image to give the card dimension!

I stacked the die cut words three times for more dimension.

Father's Day Breakfast

Had breakfast at Barbie's Cafe in Seabeck... love the down home feeling!!!!  It was a busy morning at the restaurant, should have made reservations. It was a bit chilly for Dad outside. We sat in the overflow area at the front of the store and enjoyed watching all the activity out the front window!

 The food is always delicious!

Composition for Collage: Week Three Homework

Our homework this week was to create a "Vignette Collage" 

All images used are from Claudine Hellmuth's collection she shared with us during the course.  The cardstock sticker is from Creative Imaginations - Old Guys Rule.  This also doubled as a Fathers Day Card.

Fathers Day Card

This is one of my favorite stamps to use on Father's Day Cards from Stampendous - Portland Head Lighthouse.  The coloring is done with chalk.

I was truly moved by this video. Click HERE to Watch. The music is amazing, Patrick Henry Hughes is awesome.  What also moved me was the father’s gift of giving to his son, the time he sacrifices to get his son through an average day.  The love a father has for his child.
