PARIS is Beautiful in any Color!

If you know me, you know I love Paris.  Paris is my go to theme for a lot of my art!

This month the Altered Pages Design Team will be using the Pantone color of the year: GREENERY!

Here is Paris with a touch of greenery!

Hopefully you can see the "Greenery" on my collage!

Supplies:
Canvas Board
Large sheet music
Tissue
Black ink
Mailbox Muse Paris stamps - Eiffel Tower
Gel medium
Vintage Text
Gelato - Green
Water Brush
White Flowers Petaloo
Glitter
Heart Pins
Paris words
Gold Design Stickers
Glue

On a Canvas Board paint a light green background using Gelato - Green and a  Water Brush. 

 

While the canvas board dries, stamp the Mailbox Muse Paris stamps - Eiffel Tower with Black ink on tissue.  So the ink will not run on the tissue, prepare the tissue by spraying it with an aerosol hairspray and let it dry before stamping.

 

With gel medium start layering paper on the Canvas Board, first the Vintage Text.

 

Then add a bit of large sheet music,  the words Paris and the stamped tissue.  Set aside to dry.

 

 

While the collaged papers are drying paint the white flowers green with the Gelato - Green and a  Water Brush, let dry.

 

 

Add a dash of Glitter  with the gel medium to the bottom of the canvas.

 

The Gold Design Stickers finish the top of the canvas.

 

Add the final embellishments Heart Pins and painted flowers with glue!

Working with Echo Art Board

Have you ever used Echo Art Board for ATCs.... I LOVE IT... it is a dream to work with when using paint or any other wet medium!  I don't have to worry about the base warping at all!

 

Here is an ATC using a time stamp with CASTLES of all AGES collage image on painted Echo Art Board !

 

 

 

Before starting cut the castle image from the Altered Pages Castles of the Ages Collage Sheet.

 

Supplies:

Mailbox Muse Stamp - Watch from ATC set

Black Ink

Echo Art Board- ATC

Altered Pages Castles of the Ages Collage Sheet

Dew Drops

Gold Leaf

Golden Opulence sticker

Gel Medium

Chalk Paint - Timeless

 

 

Use Chalk Paint - Timeless on the  Echo Art Board, then apply a thin layer of Gel Medium.  Lay the image of the castle on the ATC and burnish it carefully.   

 

Apply a thin layer of Gel Medium over the image, with Chalk Paint - Timeless lightly go around the edges of the image to frame it.  Add a  Golden Opulence sticker to the upper left corner.  Adhere dew drops to lower right.

While the Gel Medium is still sticky add bits of  Gold Leaf.  Note: once I opened my package of Gold Leaf I keep it in a plastic container... it is almost impossible to get it back in the package and makes it easier to use.

Let the Gel Medium dry.  When dry stamp theMailbox Muse Stamp - Watch from ATC set with Black Ink.

Edge the Echo Art Board with Black Ink!  Let dry over night before mailing.
