Flying Mona on Tissue!

By now I am sure you have heard that Altered Pages has partnered with Lost Coast Designs.  The Design Team is busy working with Lost Coast Designs amazing red rubber stamps to bring you inspiration this month!

Today I am experimenting with FLYING MONA from Lost Coast Designs.

Supplies:
Lost Coast Designs Flying Mona stampAcrylic Block
Black Ink
Brown Ink
White tissue paperEmbossing Powder Black
Glue Stick
Double Sided Tape
Vintage Text Paper
Card Base - Cardstock
Pens
Gold
Niji Paints
Water Brush

Use the  Lost Coast Designs Flying Mona stamp on an Acrylic Block and Black Ink.

Stamp Flying Mona on White Tissue paper.

Heat embossed the image with Embossing Powder - Black

Paint Flying Mona with Niji Paints using a Water Brush.  Be careful not to saturate the tissue paper with water or it will tear. Let the paints dry.

Wet the area around Flying Mona, then gently tear the paper around.  Let the tissue dry.

Cut the Vintage Text Paper to the desired size for the card.  Before adhering Flying Mona to the text be sure the tissue fits.  If not gently remove additional tissue.

Gently apply glue stick to the tissue and adhere to the Vintage Text Paper.
Cut brown cardstock for the mat, trim with Gold  pen. With double sided tape attach the Vintage Text Paper with the Flying Mona to the brown cardstock mat.  Adhere to card base!

If you look closely it almost looks like Mona is FLYING!

I Brake for Stamps Challenge!!! Backgrounds

This week the challenge at I Brake for  Stamps was to use backgrounds... I don't have any IBFS background stamps so I decided on using pattern paper from Colorbok as the background.

On this card I used the IBFS Victorian Woman.  She is stamped on tissue paper... my favorite stamping paper at this time.  Spray tissue with fixative before coloring. Color the stamped image with COPICs. Adhered the tissue image the the background paper.  Layered the pattern paper on a piece of red card stock.  Tied a bow around the panel and attached the panel to the card base.

Supplies:
Acrylic Block
Black ink
Tissue paper
Card Base and Card stock
Pattern Paper
COPICS
Ribbon
Adhesive
Fixative
